EastLink’s HD meets 1080p standard

EastLink customers now have better access to high-definition movies.

The Halifax-headquartered company has become one of the first providers in North America to offer video content in the 1080p High Definition format, which is the same format used by Blu-ray.

Starting late last year, EastLink added Hollywood Suite to its premium video lineup, giving customers access to 450 high-definition movies every month on four channels.

Now customers can receive that same service in 1080p HD, as well as with 5.1 Dolby surround sound.
